So, Just-Kimchii...what's up with this site? 

First of all, I want to welcome everyone to my blog. It's my pleasure to have you in this site browing my works! But in any case...this site is dedicated to my Visual Novel projects made on the Renpy engine.

That's great and all...but what the heck is a visual novel? 

A visual novel is an interactive book/game in which you essentially read a story and make a series of choices, generally in anime/manga style. Depending on the choices you make, you will get a different ending! It's like anime in a book, to summarize it.

What will this site feature?

The site will feature original projects and fan games :)

They will be free of charge (can’t profit of fan games anyway…). The ratings will vary but expect the general rating to be somewhere between T (teen) and up (*gasp* hentai games!). General genres I focus on are drama, tragedy, slice of life, suspense and romance. I also do a lot of Shounen ai/Boys Love and some otome games.

I do a lot of BL. What the heck is BL? That is the Boys Love genre...or yaoi...or male homosexual relationships (if you don't know either of those terms). 

**WARNING!** If you feel uncomfortable by homosexual relationships, sexual content, inappropriate language, then I do not recommend downloading my games.

While I do not generally write psychotic or horrific stories, a lot of my works have serious themes. I don't often go overboard with triggering themes (i.e. rape, drug abuse, depression, etc.), but that isn't to say that I will NEVER use any of these themes in any of my works whether they're a minor aspect or the MAIN idea.

Just be mindful of that.

I don't do a lot of fluff stories...at least not without some hardcore drama that follows. So don't expect too many otome or sim dating games. Of course, I am willing to do those with a twist here and there x)  I’m not very good at making cutesy stories (and I suck at comedy….).

Any ongoing projects?

Just one project as of now. It is a “Free! Iwatobi Swim Club” fan game derived from a fanfiction I’ve been writing.  I will post more details later.

While I have many VN project ideas, I don’t have as much time as I’d like (*sigh*...college…). But I’ll try my best to make it work.   

Will you giving out any freebies?!

Yes, I will gladly provide anything I wish to release for everyone to use! My stuff may not be the best, but it might help someone who has no artistic ability (or is just too lazy to do it…).

I will also provide links to other user’s websites as a way to provide useful resources and give credit. This should also help any aspiring VN makers like myself! ;)

Will you be making how-to tutorials?

Hm…good question.

I might make some in the future, but not as of now. I will gladly provide useful tutorials/sites I’ve found. Maybe I’ll list some tips I learn on this VN-making journey x)

Would you like to do a collab? Write the story?? Make the art??!

Aww, you flatter me! *cries because no one’s there….*

Anyway…that’s a tough question to answer. I mostly like to work solo because I understand everyone has responsibilities (myself included) and it often happens that non-commercial VN teams often don’t follow through with their games because of [insert reason here]. It’s not that I don’t like working in teams (in fact, it sounds quite nice), but I don’t want to risk leaving the responsibility to one person and then losing that persons support and vice versa. 

Of course, that doesn’t mean that solo teams follow through either. However, I’ll make do for now ;)

As of now, until I gain more experience in making visual novels and the Renpy engine in general, I will not be working in teams. I will update this page should anything change! :)
